Title: Production support (Unix or Windows support) Location: Owings Mills, MD Duration: 1 Year General Description -The initial duration of this assignment is 6 months, but the candidate will be re-evaluated every 6 months before renewal. -This contingent worker will work remotely until T. Rowe is back on site, and from there, they will work at the Pratt Street location. - Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience. All candidates submitted should have: • Prior production support experience (general troubleshooting, analytical skills, on-call experience, etc.), financial industry preferred but not a must • Experience with Windows and Unix scripting (PowerShell, python, Unix shell, etc.) as well as general knowledge of both Unix and Windows environments when it comes to troubleshooting issues, managing files, etc. • Experience with Autosys or any job scheduler • Experience with AWS in terms of general concepts understanding and how the pieces work together • Experience with Splunk/New Relic, AWS Cloud Watch and any other tools used for AWS monitoring and alerting • Strong analytical skills • Soft skills very important too • Being part of the on-call rotation is the requirement for the role (every 4th or 5th week) • Shift Hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (oncall – Primary / Secondary resources (8 a.m. – 9 p.m., weekend) • Must have skill have: Prior production support / Unix or Windows support • Production Support for trading applications (users are traders) • Make sure the systems are running fine (IT technical role to make sure the trading systems are working) • Prior Production support issues / On call support • Support UNIX and Windows (knowledge of both is preferred) • Scripting Powershell / python) • Autosys or Job scheduler experience • Splunk (monitoring) is the key for AWS (AWS can be learned / preferred) • Experience with Splunk/New Relic, AWS Cloud Watch and any other tools used for AWS monitoring and alerting • New relic not required but nice to have • Good communication and relationship skills • Must have skill have: Prior production support / Unix or Windows support • Not a java / application support • Jobs are the main thing that are being run • Interview Process (Contractor 2 years and out reason for opening) • 1 Video Interview - behavior / technical / full team • Targeted Start Date: June 1, 2020 • ServiceNow – Ticketing System – sounds like they use it for basics but not a big deal. • 70% Project Work and 30% support work (not fighting fires all day
